Python Developer

You will be required to develop and support Python projects, functions and complete specific client and project work and miscellaneous tasks. This role also involves using established work procedures to analyse, design, develop, implement, maintain, re-engineer and troubleshoot customers' applications.

Job responsibilities

Use technologies: Python, Django, Postgres, JavaScript libraries such as Angular, Backbone, and jQuery to develop creative technical solutions to complex problems
Design, code, test, debug and document software according to the functional requirements
Analyse, diagnose and resolve errors related to their applications
Investigate operational or systematic problems and user queries as required
Follow all departmental standards and methodologies
Interact and communicate effectively with all levels of staff, senior management, customers and vendors
Communicate effectively and clearly, in writing and verbally, in one-on-one and group presentation situations

Job requirements

At least 2 to 3 years' experience of Python development
Demonstrable experience with Python
Proven experience developing web based user interfaces
SCM Tools (eg git or cvs)
Strong analytical skills
Attention to detail
Experience of working effectively as part of a team
Good written and verbal communication skills
A proven passion for the latest technologies and a demonstrable desire to push the boundaries of what is possible
